What is a full stack sales funnel?

Great question. If you're in to app/web development at all, you've likely heard the term "full stack developer" at some point. Though the definitions of this vary, people generally agree that a full stack developer is someone who is proficient in all the back-end and front-end systems that make a project successful.

So, in development world, a full stack developer understands everything from the servers everything is hosted on, and the languages the code is written in, all the way to the end customer's needs and the needs of the company the developer works for. A full stack development firm is therefore a place that customers can get their whole project attended to instead of having to split it up among multiple contractors or companies.

Your full stack sales funnel is all the connected actions and engagements that lead a customer to buy from you.


And instead of the limited view that some gurus preach to you ("Webinars are the answer!" "All you need is solid phone selling skills!" etc.), a full stack sales funnel includes all of the back-end (tech, integrations, etc.) and front-end (emails, live videos, sales calls, etc.) systems and content you need to increase the sales of your offer.

This means your full stack sales funnel might include:

  • A free "sample" of what you offer--ex: a free email course, a free discovery call

  • A paid "sample" of what you offer--ex: a $22 eBook, a $43 online workshop

  • A powerful email sequence that expands on the learning/action/experience you started in your sample and invites people to the next major action you want them to take

  • A signature webinar that helps you sell more of your products or services

  • An application process to take more control over who ends up in your programs/services

  • A 1-on-1 call to help you convert people who attended your webinar but did not apply/buy after the event

  • And more
